San Francisco-based director Ruby Yang returns to her native Hong Kong to witness its transition from colonial British rule to that of China. Her film follows five young Hong Kong residents as they document their triumphs and tribulations during Hong Kong's first post-colonial year. Juxtaposing ordinary people's life stories with the making of history, Citizen Hong Kong depicts a city that is constantly reinventing its own identity. For the DVD I created a main motion menu (pictured below) along with chapter menus incorporating still images from the film.
